Description

The aligning roller bearing has two rows of rollers, one shared spherical raceway in the outer ring and two raceways in the inner ring and is inclined to an Angle relative to the bearing axis. This clever structure makes it with automatic aligning performance, so it is not easy to be affected by the Angle of shaft and bearing box seat on the error or shaft bending, suitable for installation error or shaft deflection caused by Angle error occasions. The bearing can bear not only radial load, but also two-way axial load.

 

Structure

Spherical roller bearings with tapered bore bore with the rear code K and K30 installed on the matching adapter sleeve become rear code K+H type and K30+H type bearings. How to Install Spherical Roller Bearing?

Spherical roller bearings are bearings equipped with drum rollers between the inner ring with two raceways and the outer ring with spherical raceways. The center of curvature of the raceway surface of the outer ring is the same as the center of the bearing, so it has the same aligning function as self-aligning ball bearings. When the shaft and housing are deflected, the load can be automatically adjusted and the axial load in both directions can be adjusted. Large radial load capacity, suitable for heavy load and shock load. Bearings with an inner diameter of the inner ring are tapered bores and can be mounted directly. For self-aligning bearings, the use of an intermediate mounting ring prevents the outer ring from tilting and rotating when loading bearings with shafts into the housing shaft bore. It should be remembered that the balls of some sizes of self-aligning ball bearings protrude from the sides of the bearing, so the middle mounting ring should be recessed to prevent damage to the balls. A large number of bearings are generally mounted mechanically or hydraulically press-in.

For separable bearings, the inner and outer rings can be mounted separately, which simplifies mounting, especially if both the inner and outer rings require an interference fit. When fitting a shaft with the inner ring in place into a bearing housing with the outer ring, care must be taken to see that the inner and outer rings are properly aligned to avoid scratching the bearing raceways and rolling elements. If cylindrical and needle roller bearings have an inner ring without flanged flange or an inner ring with a flange side on one side, a mounting sleeve is recommended. The outer diameter of the sleeve should be equal to the inner ring raceway diameter F, and the tolerance standard for machining should be d10. Stamped outer ring needle roller bearings are best mounted with a mandrel shaft.

The mounting axial clearance of spherical roller bearings can be adjusted by adjusting nuts on the journal, adjusting gaskets and threads in the housing bore, or by preload springs. The size of the axial clearance is related to the arrangement of the bearing during installation, the distance between the bearings, and the material of the shaft and the housing, and can be determined according to the working conditions. For spherical roller bearings with high load and high speed, when adjusting the clearance, the influence of temperature rise on axial clearance must be considered, and the amount of clearance reduction caused by temperature rise must be estimated, that is, the axial clearance should be adjusted appropriately larger. For bearings with low rotation speeds and vibrations, clearance-free mounting or preload mounting should be applied. Its purpose is to make good contact between the rollers and raceways of spherical roller bearings, evenly distribute the load, and prevent the rollers and raceways from being damaged by vibration and shock. After adjustment, the size of the axial clearance is checked with a dial indicator. The method is to first fix the dial indicator on the fuselage or bearing seat, so that the dial indicator contact against the smooth surface of the shaft, push the shaft along the axial left and right, and the maximum swing of the watch hand is the axial clearance value.

 

Universal Failure Modes

1. The bearing is damaged when the aligning Angle is exceeded during installation.

2. When installing the bearing inner ring with the press, avoid the support under the outer ring to prevent the installation of the bearing when the bearing is pressed down, resulting in the crushing of the outer ring edge.

3. The installation axial was preloaded which causes damage to the aligning roller bearing.

4. Fracture of inner ring caused by large installation interference.

5. Poor lubrication leads to early wear of bearing raceway.
